Have a look at [...]

It’s a freezing cold day outside with an icy biting wind. A day for wrapping up warmly and going for a long walk or for sitting in front of the fire and toasting your toes. I’ve done neither, I built some shelves under one of the tables I use for my printing, I needed to store [...]

It’s my son’s 21st birthday on the 7th December. Twenty one years since he was born, can you credit it. He lives in Kinsale, Co Cork at the moment having done two years on the Oudoor Education Instructors course in the College of Further Education. He knows now that he doesn’t want to teach the subject, [...]

I’ve seriously been running around like the proverbial blue ar”d fly this week. Driving round the country, making applications to galleries in Cork, seeing exhibitions. Lovely one in the Sirius, in Cobh, Co Cork. Sileziany ‘On the wind’s wings’ textiles from Poland. Exhibits are by both children and adults, batik, weaving, willow work and more. Some [...]

Framing some images this morning, what a job ! started last night, thought I had them all done, when, I discovered I had omitted to put 1/1 on two of the prints. Each of my prints are one off and I had forgotten to put it on. So first thing this morning dismantle the whole [...]

Writing about my art….. I have been trying to write an artists’ statement, it’s about the hardest thing to do, along with trying to sell my work. A good friend came up yesterday to give me a hand, and together, we managed to put together a reasonable statement. I have to do this to be able [...]

Saturday morning, beautiful sunshine, cold, clear and crisp. Tea in bed first thing, then out to the garden to fill the massive holes. We started a few weeks ago and Jon has been hard at work every weekend since. Rain or shine he’s slaving over a cold, clarty, hole. Boots stiff and heavy with 5cms of mud caked [...]
